MAT PILATES

Mat Pilates is ideal for all fitness levels. You simply use your body weight and gravity to improve your core strength and stamina.

 

Our mat Pilates classes are small so you receive focused attention, and we work with you on any physical issues or challenges you need help with.

 

No prior Pilates experience is needed.

REFORMER PILATES

45 or 60 MINUTES

A Reformer machine uses spring systems for added resistance and intensity. Because we offer Reformer Pilates in a 1:1 or 2:1 format, it is suitable for all fitness levels as our instructors ensure you use the machine in such a way that suits your exercise needs and goals. Reformer Pilates is great rehab exercise.

 

Your 1:1 or 2:1 Pilates class will use hybrid Pilates techniques to create an experience that’s perfect for you. You can expect a mix of Reformer Pilates, TRX, mat Pilates, and chair Pilates: it’s 100% customised to you.

 

If you’d like to try 2:1 Pilates but don’t have a friend willing to come with you, we can team you up with a buddy – just contact us and ask.

FIT@50+ YOGALATES

60 MINUTES

Yogalates is a fusion of Yoga and Pilates, so you’re able to experience the benefits of both. Whether you enjoy perfect health and fitness, or have some challenges to work around, the Fit@50+ Yogalates class is customised to your needs. Some of the common challenges we can work with include back pain, sore joints, carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoporosis, hip replacements, and more.

 

Even though Yogalates is a group fitness class, the experience is tailored to the needs of the individuals in the group.

 

No prior Yoga or Pilates experience is needed.

 

PREGNANCY YOGA

60 MINUTES

Yoga during pregnancy is a gentle way of keeping the body subtle and the mind at ease.

 

Pregnancy Yoga classes are in an 8-week training block designed for all trimesters, filled with nourishing movement, breathing and mindfulness.

 

Our Pregnancy Yoga instructor, Hannah, has trained in pre and post-natal yoga, so you’re in excellent hands.

 

No prior yoga experience is needed.

Meet your Kerikeri yoga instructor: Hannah Van Oorschot

Hannah’s here to make a difference in your day: she loves seeing her students transform during a class. Whether it’s helping you get awake and motivated in the morning, or winding down after a busy day.

 

Hannah’s classes start with a body and breath awareness, to allow you to feel grounded and centred before moving into any asana. She ensures that the flow is always centred around the connection of the breath and the movement – and that you can centre and ground yourself even in challenging poses. Then, at the end of each class, Hannah takes the time to relax and ease the nervous system into a healthy resting state.

 

Hannah’s Kerikeri yoga classes are suitable for everyone, regardless of age, experience, or fitness levels. Because her classes are small, Hannah’s able to give everyone the attention they deserve. Modifications are incorporated to suit all levels of experience.
